THE N2 Highway north bound is closed from the area of Salt Rock while emergency services work to contain a structural blaze at the UltraCity service station adjacent to the roadway.
“Reports from the scene suggest a gas explosion may have lead to the blaze which has seen massive structural and vehicle destruction,” explained Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen.
“Emergency services and disaster management teams are in attendance and the public are advised to stay clear of the area.”
He added no injuries have been reported on the scene thus far.
