Man (65) injured in alleged road rage incident

Paramedics discovered the elderly man slumped over his steering wheel with serious facial wounds.

AN alleged road rage incident in Effingham has left a 65-year-old man with serious injuries.

Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 6pm to find the man slumped over his car’s steering wheel, said Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen.

Upon closer inspection the paramedics determined that serious facial injuries had been sustained by the man. It is alleged that he was assaulted with a glass tumbler.

The man was stabilised at the scene and then transported to a nearby hospital.
