Body discovered on Old North Coast Road

Although the man’s hands and feet were bound the police were unable to detect any obvious wounds on the body.

MYSTERY surrounds the death of a man believed to be the caretaker of the Victoria Park on Old North Coast Road.

A tenant at the property is said to have made the grisly discovery early this morning.

Leon Audh, spokesman for the Greenwood Park SAPS, said the man’s hands and feet were tied up. However, he could not confirm the cause of death.

“Members at the scene inspected the body and no obvious stab or other wounds could be found on the body,” he said.

What’s more, evidence at the scene suggest that the man was robbed. Not only was the window at his hut broken, but a television set as well as the victim’s cell phone was reported missing.

At this stage police could not comment on whether the man was murdered, or if a robbery took place.
