Petrol price relief for commuters

Motorists can expect another drastic drop in the petrol price.

THERE is good news for commuters as the price of petrol is set to drop drastically this week.

The Department of Energy said that the price of 95 Octane and 93 Octane would decrease by 69 cents per litre tomorrow at midnight.

This will bring the price of petrol to around R11.46 per litre.

However, diesel is set to increase by 15 cents and 14 cents per 0.05  and 0.005 per cent standards respectively.

These changes are the result of the strengthening of the Rand as well as “current local, international factors as well as the margin adjustments international factors”, the department said.

In January commuters saw a 93 per cent drop in the petrol price.
