Four-man gang robs uMhlanga business

Nine computers taken in armed robbery on Chartwell Drive.

FOUR armed men robbed an uMhlanga business of computers in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The gang ordered a security guard, on duty at the Granada Centre on Chartwell Drive, to lie on the ground while they robbed a business at about 5.30am this morning.

“The gang arrived in a silver Golf and forced a security guard on patrol at the centre to lie on the ground while they ransacked a business. They stole nine computers and were in and out in minutes. Thankfully the guard was unharmed in the robbery,” explained Lt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS.

He added CCTV footage captured the vehicle leaving the area on Chartwell Drive.
