Police stumped by missing teen case

There have been no leads or developments in the case, a month after the teen is said to have disappeared.

POLICE are still searching for leads pertaining to the whereabouts of a teen that presumably went missing in the uMhlanga area.

Sersheni Naidoo (17) reportedly disappeared on 12 December after she left for work in The Ridge. She did not make it to her place of employment and has not been seen since.

According to the Shallcross teen’s mother, Sharon Govender, her daughter would have started her matric year earlier this month.

Govender pleaded for her daughter’s safe return and appealed to anyone with information to come forward. Yesterday afternoon, SAPS provincial spokesman, Maj Thulani Zwane, said there have been no leads or development in the case.
