Three injured in Briardene collision

Bystanders allege one vehicle failed to stop at a traffic light.

THREE people were injured, one seriously, after a collision involving three vehicles in Briardene, north of Durban on Monday afternoon.

Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen said the accident occurred at the intersection of Queen Nandi Drive and Brickworks Way shortly after 1pm.

“Three people were injured in the collision with one, a man believed to be in his early thirties, having sustained serious injuries. Bystanders allege one of the vehicles failed to obey a traffic light, colliding with the other two vehicles at high speed, however, the exact facts are uncertain and will be subject of a South African Police Services investigation,” he said.
