A MAN who was being baptized at eMdloti Beach has drowned after being swept into the sea. According to Netcare 911 spokesman, Chris Botha, despite the best attempts of lifeguards and paramedics, they were not able to resuscitate the man.
“Lifeguards swam out, pulled the unresponsive patient onto the beach and started with CPR. Paramedics also arrived at the scene and started with advanced life support resuscitation. Tragically, despite the fervent effort from the paramedics, the man was declared dead at the scene,” he said.
