A LOCAL businessman was robbed at gunpoint in Inanda Road on Sunday morning.
It is alleged that the victim had returned to his office building after drawing cash from a nearby bank. He had stopped outside the building and was waiting for the car guard to open the gate when a gold VW Audi pulled up next to his vehicle, said W/O Leon Audh of the Greenwood Park SAPS.
“Two men jumped out of the Audi and pointed a firearm at him. They forced him out of his vehicle and started to search him,” added Audh.
The men reportedly demanded cash. The suspect complied, and the suspects fled the scene with undisclosed amount of cash as well as the victim’s cell phone and car keys.
Det/W/O SM Moodley is investigating the incident and can be contacted on 083 799 6999.
