Glen Anil shootout suspects found with blue light

A Glen Anil robbery turned deadly as three suspects were shot dead.

MORE details have emerged about last night’s fatal shooting in Glen Anil. Three suspects are now dead following a robbery and shootout on Welwitschia Avenue. A fourth suspect is still on the run. The suspect’s vehicle, a blue Golf 7 GTI, which had been stolen from Chatsworth recently, was found with a blue light and house-breaking implements such as crowbars and bolt cutters. Three firearms were recovered from the suspects at the scene.

“The men, who were all armed with handguns, had derailed the front driveway gate and forced the front lounge door open with a crowbar before confronting a female resident. A Glen Anil resident and former police officer saw what was happening and confronted the suspects.

“They fired at him and he returned fire, hitting all three suspects. Well done to the member of the public for getting involved and placing himself at risk to stop the suspects,” said Tyron Powell of Marshall Security.
