THE body of an unidentified man was discovered by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at about 5.45am on Friday morning. The officers were responding to a call-out for a suspicious motor vehicle from a passerby.
According to a Facebook post, a passerby contacted the RUSA operations centre in Verulam and reported a suspicious grey Audi parked near a banana plantation in Mount Moreland.
“Our officers responded to the call-out on a dirt road and found a grey Audi with GP registration plates. We found the body of a male seated in the driver’s seat. A plastic bag was found over his head and his face had been wrapped with duct tape several times. A roll of duct tape was found hanging from his head. A vehicle registration check is currently being conducted to confirm his identity,” said Prem Balram, spokesman for RUSA.
