Family robbed at gunpoint

A family has been left traumatised after two suspects robbed them at gunpoint on Propect Hall Road.

A Durban North family was robbed at gunpoint in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to W/O Leon Audh, the victim and his family were travelling along Prospect Hall Road when the incident occurred.

“He noticed a white VW Polo parked on the side of the road with two unknown males in it. The complainant was with his family at this time. The two unknown males then jumped out off the vehicle and approached the complainant and pointed firearms at him,” he said.

The suspects then robbed the complainant and his family of various items including jewellery, cellphones, cash and a watch.

The men fled towards Riverside Road. Police have appealed to anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Det/Col Serfontein on 083 426 9657.
