Police: Conduct a ‘mock robbery’ to secure your home

Greenwood Park SAPS have urged residents to save-guard their homes by conducting a mock break-in at their properties.

To combat and prevent these criminal activities the Greenwood Park SAPS have urged community members to conduct a ‘mock robbery’ of their home in order to pinpoint the risks in their homes.

“Take time off one day and imagine how you would break into your own home. What could you do to make it so risky for the criminal so that the reward is minimal and that he/she will think twice before breaking into your home,” said W/O Leon Audh, spokesman for the station.

He suggested residents to take the following aspects into consideration when conducting their mock break-in:

In case of emergencies please contact the Greenwood Park station on 031 571 6512/3/4 or 10111.
