Teen killed at Durban Day

Tragic news of a death at People’s Park at around 7.30 pm last night.

THE thousands of Durbanites who did not attend then popular Durban Day held at People’s Park yesterday woke up the news this morning that a teenager was stabbed to death at the event.

The boy, Montreal King, was just 17 years old. In a press statement, the organisers of the event, East Coast Radio called it an “isolated event”.

The event sees more than 14 000 people flocking to People’s Park outside Moses Mabhida stadium every year.
Some teenagers who were at the event said they were left shaken after seeing Montreal lying in a pool of blood. Several people have sent their condolences on Montreal’s Facebook page.
