‘Lucky’ escape for local security investigator

An Enforce investigator was seriously injured while chasing down a suspected house robber in uMhlanga this morning.

THE heroic efforts of an Enforce investigator almost turned into tragedy this morning when he was struck by a car on the M4 in uMhlanga.

According to the company’s director, Anthony Feuilherade, Lucky Mkhize was knocked down by a vehicle while chasing a suspected house robber across the busy road.

“He suffered serious injuries, breaking his leg in two places. He also sustained a bad concussion. However, he is stable now and doing much better,” he said.

The security company has a team of investigators in the upper side of uMhlanga who has been probing house robberies and break-ins in the area.

“Lucky’s dedication is well appreciated. He is one of the many investigators and part of a good team. He and his family are in our thoughts and we remain optimistic about his recovery. The community has also been standing behind him and we thank them for their support,” added Feuilherade.
