SPECIALISED hydraulic rescue equipment was used to free a driver from his vehicle after a collision on Queen Nandi Drive earlier this morning. According to Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen, two vehicles collided in a T-bone fashion.
“Both drivers (males) are believed to be in their late thirties. Luckily they sustained only minor injuries. However, due to extensive damage to one of the vehicles, the jaws of life were required to free one of the men from his vehicle.
“Both men were treated and assessed on scene before being transported by ambulance to a nearby facility for further care,” he said.
Traffic was severely affected and the necessary authorities were on scene to assist.
