Woman hides as thieves ransack Glen Anil home

The resident fled from her home and hid at the back of the property while the robbers went on a rampage.

A WOMAN was forced to flee her home in Glen Anil Street this afternoon (6 March) when three men broke into the property.

According to a report sent out by Sun Cell Watch, the intruders gained entry onto the property by breaking the front gate. When the woman heard the commotion she fled from her home and hid at the back of the property while the robbers ransacked her home.

The thieves made off with a television and a music system.

Craig Adendorff of Sun Cell Watch raised concern after the incident had been reported, saying that the robbery had occurred too close to home and that ‘crime has definitely picked up’.

He urged residents to stand together, adding that there was strength in numbers. Additional information is limited at this stage.
