A HUGE fire is currently raging through an informal settlement on Parkington Road in Greenwood Park.
Robert Mckenzie, the KZN EMS spokesperson, said more than 50 informal homes have been destroyed in the blaze.
Residents are being evacuated by emergency services.
There have also been unconfirmed reports claiming that a six-month-old baby has died in the flames.
At this stage it is not clear how the wind started, but the strong winds are currently fueling the blaze as firefighters battle to douse the flames.
