A FEMALE commuter sustained minor injuries after the car she was driving collided with a second vehicle on uMhlanga Rocks Drive a little over an hour ago.
Clinton Swales, the second motorist who was involved in the accident, told the Northglen News at the scene of the accident that he was travelling south-bound on uMhlanga Rocks Drive while the other motorist was heading north when the accident occurred.
Swales alleges that after his vehicle was hit he realised that his brakes had failed, and almost careened into oncoming traffic.
“By playing with my handbrake I managed to safely guide my car to the bus stop,” he said. Crisis Medical and Durban North SAPS were on the scene.
The cause of the accident is still unknown.
