Burglar burnt by electric fencing in Durban North
Burglar bungles attempt to rob a house and burns himself in the process.
A SUSPECTED burglar was badly burnt in what police believe was an attempted robbery this morning. The incident occurred on Agar Place, Durban North at about 1am this morning.
In his attempt to climb over the fence, the suspect burnt his hands and face. According to the Greenwood Park CPF Facebook page, the home owner said the suspect had tried to gain access via the electric fencing and ended up injuring and burning himself.
Blue Security arrested the suspect and handed him over to the Greenwood Park Police.
It’s believed the man is from the Briardene Informal Settlement.
There was no comment from the Greenwood Park Police Station.
