Marcelle impresses in Fitness model search
Fitness athlete makes top 12 of cover model search competition.
EARLIER this year local fitness athlete, Marcelle Moolman, decided to enter her first amateur competition. By her own admission she didn’t even place at the competition. For some amateur athletes this may have signalled the end, however, for the 33-year-old it was only the beginning.
At her next competition, the International Federation Of Bodybuilding (IFBB) East Coast Classic, she placed fifth and then repeated the result at the KZN IFBB competition.
“I was thrilled. Especially after my first competition, I felt more confident and I’d seen a huge difference in stage presence and how I carried myself,” she said.
Marcelle then entered the USN Face of Fitness model search. With more than 200 entrants, competition was stiff, but the fitness star first made the top 32 before making the top 12.
“It’s so exciting and I’m incredibly honoured and proud to have made the top 12 in the country. I have worked so hard to get where I want to be and this is just the start for me.
“This has given me the confidence to push myself and train harder. Though I didn’t make the top six I’m really happy to have gotten so far,” she enthused.
