Murdered woman the ‘Bell’ of her life’s ball

Rosemary Bell's Facebook timeline tells the story of an animal loving, jet-setting, fashion forward loving mother.

SOCIAL media has revealed the apparent lavish lifestyle the 32-year-old mother of one, Rosemary Bell, lived before she was killed on Tuesday, 19 August at her Terence Place home in Durban North.

Her open Facebook page shows that Bell, who was allegedly shot in her stomach by her boyfriend,  was an animal lover. On 13 August, seven days before she died, Bell posted a picture of her dog and cat named Cattoo and Guppie. The Durban North resident also posted pictures of herself on holiday around the country also making mention of a recent trip to the popular Little Switzerland in the Drakensberg.

Behind the closed steel gate at her Terence Place home, with the word ‘Psycho’ emblazoned on it, stands two luxury cars, a BMW 3 series and a Toyota Hilux Raider. Bell’s boyfriend, a Metro Police officer’s hat rests in the back window of the BMW, with a sticker baring the words ‘Super Bi***’ on the boot. The Raider’s number plate reads 4PsychoZN.

At some stage she was also the owner of taxis, also with the word ‘psycho’ on it, which operated in the Durban area, but sold them in 2013.

Her pictures posted on Facebook proves that Bell was a woman who knew how to look after herself, often dressing in stunning outfits that hugged her petite figure, donning layers of makeup.

It has been reported that Bell inherited a number of properties from her former employer, which included her Terence Place home. She also owned a an upmarket townhouse in Sandton, as well as a villa at a private golf estate in the Cape, called Cape Villa Rosa.

The Metro officer, who stands accused of murdering Bell,  appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court this morning. His bail hearing was adjounrned to 28 August.
