Taiwan plane crash kills 51

A TransAsia Airlines plane has crashed in Taiwan, killing six and injuring seven, just days after a former uMhlanga resident was killed in the MH17 disaster.

INTERNATIONAL media are reporting that a TransAsia Airlines plane has crashed after attempting to make an emergency landing in Taiwan.

It is believed 51 people were killed when the plane crashed into residential buildings.

Xinhua News have reported that the plane crashed in Taiwan’s Penghu county.

The news comes almost a week to the day in which a South African helicopter pilot and former uMhlanga resident, Cameron Dalziel (43), was killed along withsome 297 of his fellow passengers in a horror plane crash last Thursday.

Dalziel’s wife Reine and children are due to return to South Africa this week.

While news of the Taiwan crash is still streaming in, the bodies of some of the first victims recovered from downed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 have been transported to the Netherlands from the crash site in eastern Ukraine.
