Classics converge in Scottbugh

The Scottburgh Classic car show will have plenty of classic cars to admire.

Hundreds of pre-1975 classic cars and motorcycles will converge in Scottburgh on Sunday, 20 July for the fifth annual charity Scottburgh Classic Car Show to be held at the Scottburgh Country Club from 9am.

Cars from KZN and Gauteng will create an amazing spectacle with three hours of moving parades and the iconic Austin Healey sports car featured marque. Car clubs will compete in the Concours d’Elegance competition by dressing up in clothes to compliment the decade of their vehicles. Prizes will also be awarded to visitors who attend in costumes depicting styles from the 1940s to 1970s.

Children can enjoy a secure play enclosure with jumping castle and other amusements. There will be plenty to eat and drink including a beer tent and tea garden.

No dogs permitted at the show.

Entrance will be R30 adults, R10 for pensioners and pupils under 17, children under 12 free. All proceeds will be donated to the nominated charities who will be represented at the show.

The show will be signposted from the N2 and only classic cars and all motorcycles will be able to park in the Country Club grounds. There will be ample secure free parking at the Scottburgh High School with free shuttle buses to and from the Show field – alternatively cars can park in the streets surrounding the Club.

Parking for the disabled will be available on the show field.
