DURBAN motorists are urged to be patient, cautious and to use alternative routes as road closures for the 2014 Top Gear Festival are enforced from 6pm tonight, Thursday 19 June. Motorists are urged to plan their trips carefully and to leave earlier than normal to accommodate delays while the festival is in full swing.
From 6pm tonight, Thursday 19 June 2014 to midnight on Sunday 22 June 2014 the following roads will be closed:
1. Masabalala Yengwa (NMR) Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Isaiah Ntshangase (Walter Gilbert) Road and Sandile Thusi (Argyle) Road.
2. Battery Beach Road will closed to traffic.
3. There will be restricted access to traffic on Masabalala Yengwa (NMR) Avenue between Isaiah Ntshangase (Walter Gilbert) and Smiso Nkwanyane (Goble) Road.
4. There will be restricted access to traffic on Isaiah Ntshangase (Walter Gilbert) Road between Masabalala Yengwa (NMR) Avenue and Umgeni Road.
