Man dies in N2 barrier crash

A man died when he crashed into barriers on the N2 southbound on Monday morning.

A man died when his vehicle collided into the concrete barriers on the N2 southbound near Umdloti on Monday, 16 June.

According to Netcare 911’s Chris Botha the crash happened at around 9.20am on Youth Day.

“Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative and will remain a subject for police comment,” Botha added.

Netcare 911 paramedics said they arrived at the scene and found the man slumped in the vehicle.

After examining him it was found that he had gone into cardiac arrest. Paramedics started advanced life support resuscitation and continued for more than an hour, but he was declared dead at the scene.

  1. People drive far too fast on our roads.
    I travel on the M41 from Mt Edgecombe to Durban North, this stretch of road is under construction and has signs every where giving the speed limit as 60, cars pass me doing at least 120, and not only that go from one lane to anothet.
    Where is our law and order, there is none, I never ever see a Police car regulating the traffic on this road. Disgusted

  2. I am truly sorry for your lose. Your baby’s death was most gruesome. The savages that did this to your Baby are definitely not animal lovers. It’s strange how they own an animal!!! I pray that you will find the savages that did cause the death of Carter. And I also pray you do deal with them severely.

    May Carters Soul rest in peace. And you be blessed for giving him so much love in the short space of time that you had him.
