Armed robbers’ plan foiled by jammed gun

Four Glen Hills men managed to fight off two robbers on Monday night despite two of the men being stabbed by one of the suspects.

THE jamming of an armed man’s gun is all it took to save the lives of four men who were ambushed at their home in Glen Hills in the early hours of this morning.  The victims had returned home on Monday, 9 June at 1.27pm they were viciously attacked by two armed men in their driveway according to the Greenwood Park Community Policing Forum.

The two robbers, one armed with a gun and the other with a knife, were waiting in the yard at an Allananda Road house for the residents to enter the yard, chairman of the CPF Robin Candy added. But the men had no plans of going down without a fight and fought off their attackers.

“Last night the Marshall Security control room received a call for assistance reporting that they could hear calls for help in Allamanda Road, Glen Hills. They found that two residents had been stabbed. The residents reported that four people where arriving home when they were confronted by two suspects hiding in their garden,” Marshall Security also reported on its Facebook page.

Two of the residents were stabbed during the fight. The one suspect tried to shoot them, but fortunately for the victims of the attack, his gun jammed. The residents then managed to disarm him and he was arrested. His accomplice managed to get away.

The two injured residents were rushed to hospital by ambulance.
