Dolphins rake in CSA awards

KZN cricket is alive and well as the Sunfoil Dolphins nab all domestic cricket accolades at the CSA awards.

THE Sunfoil Dolphins made a clean sweep at the CSA Awards, held at the Sandton Convention Centre last night.

In addition, the Dolphins won the CSA Fair Play Award and Wilson Ngobese, head grounds curator at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead, was named CSA Grounds man of the Year.

Former Protea Lance ‘Zulu’ Klusner said he was grateful for the coach of the year award.

“I am grateful and humble for the recognition that the team and I have received. I would like to thank the Sunfoil Dolphins team, management and sponsors. Not forgetting my family who have been very supportive,” he said.

Faeez Jaffar, President of KwaZulu Natal Cricket Union also congratulated the winners.

“Congratulations to all the winners, especially to Lance Klusener, Kyle Abbott, David Miller, Wilson Ngobese and the entire Sunfoil Dolphins team. It is great to see the team are back on track and the resurgence of the old Dolphins spirit. Our home grown talent is producing good results, which shows that Dolphins cricket is in a healthy state.”
