THERE have been unconfirmed reports that Hollywood legend, Sean Penn, stayed at The Oyster Box Hotel this week.
But the hotel’s public relations department declined to comment and said: “We are not at liberty to give out information about hotel guests.”
The Southcoast Sun reported that Amanzimtoti‘s Kathy Cowling met the Hollywood star at the Spur at Toti main beach on Sunday, 6 April.
The report said her son-in-law noticed the celebrity on his way to the bathroom. “He casually told us, ‘by the way Sean Penn is here or his double’.” Kathy decided to find out if it was really him, jumped up and walked down the aisle. She aksed him if he was Sean Penn and he replied, saying yes. Penn was also spotted at Wimpy Arbour Crossing, also sometime last week. It is believed Penn is in South Africa scouting for film locations around South Africa for his upcoming film, The Good Lie, in which he is the director. Have you spotted the celebrity around town?
