Rhino poaching figures high

Rhino poaching figures are already high, just three months into 2014.

SA National Parks says a total of 146 rhino have been poached in South Africa since the beginning of the year.

 According to the SA National Parks, a total of 146 rhino have been poached in South Africa since the beginning of the year.

 

 “The Kruger National Park remains hardest hit by rhino poaching, having lost 95 rhino since January 1,” spokesman Albi Modise said.  Fourteen rhino were poached in the North West, 14 in Limpopo, 10 in KwaZulu-Natal and six in Mpumalanga.

 

 Forty-four people have been arrested in the country for rhino poaching this year.
