Get involved in marine conservation

uShaka Sea World is on the lookout for volunteers who can assist in enhancing a visitor’s experience in the aquarium.

FANCY yourself a marine conservationist? Well now is your chance to get involved in conserving our marine life as uShaka Sea World is on the lookout for volunteers who can assist in enhancing a visitor’s experience in the aquarium. The volunteers will also present marine courses and guide school groups through their popular aquarium.

“If this sounds like something that interests you, we are looking to expand the volunteer group. All we require is that you are between 18 and 66 years old, have a passion for marine conservation, free time during the week or weekend, can get to uShaka Sea World easily and are prepared to work for no salary,” publicist for uShaka Sea World, Steven Brown said.

During January and February the NPC Sea World Education Centre will be accepting applications for new volunteers to work as Education Guides. No academic qualifications, biological or educational experience is necessary as you will receive comprehensive training.

Brown added: “We need your enthusiasm for the sea and ability to communicate with people of all ages. Speakers of all languages are welcome, although fluency in English is essential.”
