Mugging victim comes forward

Mugging victim is working with SAPS and is currently working with the police to find the teen's killer.

THE mugging victim Nathan van Reenen tried to help has come forward and is working with police to find his killer. Nathan van Reenen, a holidaymaker, who had arrived from George only hours before, spotted a woman being mugged and ran to assist. The mugger fled and Nathan gave chase. He caught up with the mugger and during a scuffle, it is alleged the suspect stabbed Van Reenan in the neck. He was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.

The woman had only learnt of Nathan’s death on Monday morning and contacted private investigator Brad Nathanson on Facebook. “We received a call from the victim of the mugging. She is very distraught over the incident and it was a terrifying experience for her.She is extremely grateful to Nathan and will forever be,” he said.

Nathanson added the victim has been in contact with SAPS and is currently working with the police to find the teen’s killer.
