Drop-off coins and stamps for funds

Any used stamps and copper coins can be left for collection at the North Durban Lions hut at the Golden Hours Rustic Market on Sundays.

EDITOR – May I please, through the medium of your newspaper, thank all those who have so generously given their stamp collections (mainly through the North Durban Lions) to ZUMAT – Zululand Mission Air Transport, for the generation of funds for this organisation.

While ZUMAT is no longer able to transport medical staff to the far flung rural clinics or seriously ill patients to hospitals by air, because of the recent lack of sufficient funds, it is still involved in fund-raising by collecting and selling used stamps world wide.

ZUMAT is also selling off its assets to establish bursaries for the young generation of those areas where they previously served, who are keen and have the potential to study in the medical field.

It is ZUMAT`s hope that these youngsters, once qualified, would return to these communities to enrich the lives of those who are no longer able to be served by ZUMAT`s flying doctors.

Any used stamps and copper coins can be left for collection at the North Durban Lions hut at the Golden Hours Rustic Market on Sundays.
