Shopper grateful for fast and sympathetic assistance

A mentally challenged customer was apparently harassing other customers trying to get them to buy him something.

EDITOR – I was involved in an incident on Wednesday November 6 at Foodlover’s Market area in La Lucia Mall.

A mentally challenged customer was apparently harassing other customers trying to get them to buy him something. The security was trying to get him out of the store and the man hit the security guard in the head with a two-litre bottle of coke. The the best I can understand the situation is that the bottle deflected, went flying through the air and hit me in the head.

I was bleeding quite badly and several customers came to my aid as well as the staff of Foodlover’s Market.

I would just like to acknowledge their help and express my thanks with the following notice.

A big thank you to all the customers at Foodlover’s Market La Lucia and especially the staff at the market on Wednesday 6 November who offered me assistance after the incident with the coke bottle.

Thank you to the kind lady who bought me a coke to help with the initial shock. Foodlover’s Market acted quickly and got me to the Dischem clinic where my injury was seen to swiftly and efficiently.

It was overwhelming the amount of concern and kindness

shown by everyone and I am most grateful.

Thank you.
