THE AFDA (The SA School of Motion Picture Medium & Live Performance) Durban Campus invites everyone to the 2013 AFDA Festival in Film, TV and Performance on Saturday 23 November from 11am at the durban campus, at 2A Highdale Road, Glen Anil.
There is a R20 entrance fee.
This festival is an open exhibition of our student’s course outcomes of short films, TV productions, stage productions and the musical performers original songs of 2013. This includes the top selected projects from our Durban first year group made in the second semester as well as 3rd and 4th (Honours) year films from our Johannesburg and Cape Town campuses.
There will be refreshments and eats on sale and a bar for the over 18s. eg. Popcorn, candyfloss, cupcakes, boerewors rolls, curry
Every screening session is about 30 to 35 minutes in duration and scheduled 45 minutes apart with the opening screening beginning at 11am.
The stage productions and musical performances will be on at 6pm with screenings starting again afterwards at 8pm, with another three sessions before the festival ends at 10.30pm.
There is an outdoor area with music where you can relax and enjoy a bite to eat.
There will also be an expo/demo by SMG Mini as well as Open Auditions with a local casting agency run by an AFDA Alumni.
Please note: Seating in the cinema/theatre venue is limited and availability is first come first serve. Entry into the venue is permitted for those that have paid and attained the Entrance stamp at the gates of the campus. Food and beverage consumption will be limited in the cinema/theatre venue.
