The Sunlower Fund urges all South Africans to go out and buy these fun, brightly coloured bandanas as the funds raised will help save many more lives.

Thousands of South Africans are diagnosed with leukaemia and other life threatening blood disorders annually. About 75 per cent of patients are under the age of 25. The Sunflower Fund is the only non-profit organisation in South Africa entirely dedicated to building the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR).

“National Bandana Day is our biggest fundraiser and signature event of the year,” said Tina Botha, founder-director of The Sunflower Fund.

“I appeal to corporate SA, schools, universities and the general public to please support this campaign and to help us make a difference in the lives of these patients. We cannot do this without your help,” she said.
