Enter your cute baby or toddler into The Sunflower Fund's Bandana Baby and Toddler Competition.

THE Sunflower Fund is excited to launch its first Bandana Baby and Toddler competition, which runs from 15 August to 12 October 2013.

The fund asks parents to take a close-up head and shoulders photo of their little one wearing the latest Sunflower bandana, pay an entry fee of R50 and visit www.sunflowerfund.org.za to enter the competition.

The photo will be uploaded onto The Sunflower Fund’s website and at the end of the competition, the public will get to vote for their favourite bandana baby or toddler photo.

The photo with the most votes in each category will walk away with some amazing prizes. The categories are zero to two years old for babies and three to five years old for toddlers.

The funky 2013 Sunflower Bandana is available in six bright and trendy colours from any Pick n Pay store or Round Table representative nationwide.

Operations manager at The Sunflower Fund, Tarryn Corlett-Boden, said: “We really wanted to ensure that the entire family, young and old, could show their support to all our leukaemia patients, many of whom are children. “We launched the Bandana Baby and Toddler Competition alongside our National Bandana Day campaign to show support to our brave young patients who lose their hair during chemotherapy treatments.”

National Bandana Day is the biggest annual fundraiser and all the money raised goes towards recruiting more bone marrow stem cell donors for inclusion on the South African Bone Marrow Registry and to tissue type each blood sample to the improved molecular (DNA) level at a cost of R2 000.

The Sunflower Fund thanked Baby City and Toy Zone for coming on board as main overall prize sponsor for both categories.
