Northwood honours ‘old boy’

Northwood School recently hosted its annual Shaun Pollock U/14 Cricket Festival.

NORTHWOOD School hosted its annual Shaun Pollock U/14 Cricket Festival from Saturday, 4 October to Tuesday, 7 October.

The event, created in honour of the school’s legendary old boy, Shaun Pollock, brings together dozens of top cricket schools from around the country.

The idea behind the event is not only to enable the pupils to meet and mingle with other passionate cricket players, but also to have them play against some of the top teams in South Africa.

It was a proud day as hundreds of families flocked to spectate the rare matches. Some parents and siblings had traveled hundreds of kilometers to support the players.
