Danville Park Girls High School

Danville Park Girls’ High School, 30 consecutive years of 100% matric pass rate.

At Danville, excellence is our tradition, and success is our norm.

As an academic school for the past 30 years, we have maintained a remarkable 100% pass rate in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) matric exams, unmatched by any other institution in the region. Our students consistently achieve exemption rates well over 90%, a testament to the quality of education they receive, and the dedication of our academic staff members who play a pivotal role in this success.

In 2015 we proudly clinched the title of SA’s top public school with a flawless 100% bachelor’s pass rate, setting a standard for academic brilliance. We cultivate future leaders in the medical profession, feeding our universities with at least 10 students annually in this faculty.

Our commitment to excellence extends beyond academics. The state-of-the-art facilities at our institution include a hockey astroturf, an indoor sports centre, and a soon-to-be-completed cutting-edge drama theatre with a recording studio. These facilities offer students exceptional opportunities for holistic development. Many Danville sports coaches, including our fabulous Protea netball player and past pupil, Ms Precious Mthembu, boast SA representation.

Our sustainable initiatives, such as solar panels and Jojo tanks, reflect our dedication to environmental stewardship.

Linda Scholtz (Principal) expressed her pride in the school’s achievements, stating, “At Danville Park Girls’ High School, we believe in nurturing not just the academic prowess of our learners but also their character. Our goal is to shape them into empowered and compassionate individuals who will go on to make meaningful contributions to society.”

At Danville, success is not just achieved but expected and every student is empowered to thrive and lead.
