A closet filled with hope

Pre-loved clothing store that sees to the needs of the less fortunate.

GLENASHLEY resident, Melissa Gibson, will be launching Hope’s Closet on Thursday, 1 December. The idea behind Hope’s Closet is to gather pre-loved clothing and re-sell them with the proceeds of the sale going to charity.

Gibson will run the closet thrift shop from her home and will also sell her hand-painted items at the store. Gibson volunteers some of her time to be a part of the One Future Foundation NPO that visits the vulnerable women and children of the Point area.

It is out of a need to want to help the less fortunate that Gibson decided to create Hope’s Closet.

“Hope’s Closet is a quirky little fashion and decor store with a purpose. A portion of all goods go to charity and will help the homeless and vulnerable,” Gibson said.

“We accept donations of clothes, which are either distributed to the homeless or vulnerable or sold where 100% goes to charity. We also purchase clothes and sell where a share goes to charity. Open days will be announced soon,” she added.
