uMhlanga golf shop robbed for the third time

The suspects made off with golf t-shirts and money from the till to the value of R6 000

A POPULAR golf store in uMhlanga has been robbed for a third time, the second in October alone. Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS said the suspects smashed a pane of glass at the rear of the store to gain access.

“The men made off with golf t-shirts and money from the till to the value of R6 000. Unfortunately this is the second time it has been targeted by thieves in October. Last month the store was also robbed by thieves. We believe the criminals may be using the green belt and the area that’s being cleared next to the shopping complex to mask their moves.

“All the crimes have occurred between the time the store closes and opens the next morning. There is no CCTV footage of the suspects at this stage and we are currently following all leads. However, no arrests have yet been made,” he said.
