3 uMhlanga massage parlours shut down

The operation was to check the business licences of businesses in the area.

THREE massage parlours were shut down in uMhlanga on Friday in a business raid by the Durban North SAPS. The raid was to check the operating license of several liquor outlets and other businesses in the area. The operation was conducted with the Durban North/Umhlanga CPF, the eThekwini Business and eThekwini Liquor Licensing departments.

“We targeted a few of the bars and restaurants in the uMhlanga CBD as well as massage parlours in the uMhlanga Ridge area. Three massage parlours were shut down because they didn’t have the necessary business licences,” he said.

Deokaran added a liquor outlet operator was also warned and charged for licence and operational infringements.

“It was a successful operation by the CPF, the station and the City. We want to send out a stern message to those businesses who are operating without the necessary licencing documents.”
