Pepper spray gets smart upgrade

This smart Pepper Spray snaps a photo of your assailant and sends It to the police.

EVERY week, the Northglen News brings you ‘Things You Never Knew Existed’. This week it’s the Defender: a smart pepper spray that takes pictures of your attacker and sends it to police.

The inventors say not only does the spray photograph attackers but it also alerts emergency services. It also sends out an alarm to alert passersbys in the area and downloads the image to your phone. The gadget is connected via Bluetooth to an app on your smartphone, sending the image of the attacker to a 24/7 monitoring system.
