Glenashley man stabbed in robbery

The man was stabbed twice in the upper body by the suspects.

A GLENASHLEY man was stabbed twice by two suspects in an armed robbery this morning. According to Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS, the man, believed to be the live in gardener was investigating a noise in the garden when he was accosted by the suspects. The incident occurred on The Promenade at about 1.45am.

“The man was walking around the front of the house when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a knife. The suspect stabbed the victim twice in the upper body, they stole R140 cash which was on the gardener and stole his cellphone which was worth R150. The gardener was taken to hospital and we are still looking for the suspects,” he said.

Deokaran added it was unclear if there were vagrants involved in the robbery.
