Child (3) caught up in hijacking
A child was nearly abducted in an Avoca hijacking.
AMONGST yesterday’s violent protests a three-year-old child was nearly abducted during an armed hijacking in Avoca.
According to W/O Leon Audh, spokesman for the Greenwood Park SAPS, two suspects, one armed with a gun, accosted the father and child as they were parked outside a créche. They reportedly demanded the victim’s white Honda Jazz.
Audh said the father pleaded for the opportunity to take his child, seated in the back, out of the car.
“After he took the child out of the vehicle the suspects fled the scene with his vehicle,” he said.
