1 killed, 3 injured in Virginia accident
The car that struck the pedestrian overturned and collided with another vehicle.
A PEDESTRIAN was killed while three other motorists were injured in a collision involving two vehicles on the M4 south-bound near Virginia this morning.
“Reports from the scene suggest that a vehicle struck a pedestrian before overturning and colliding with another motorist shortly after 7am,” said Kyle van Reenen from Crisis Medical.
“When paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the pedestrian had suffered fatal injuries. He was declared dead on arrival.”
He added that three occupants from the two vehicles involved suffered injuries in the ordeal, one seriously so, and advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise her before she was taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
