Cell phone snatched at knife point

Two suspects made off with an expensive cell phone after confronting a resident at his home.

AN Effingham Heights man was robbed at knifepoint on Monday afternoon.

According to W/O Leon Audh of the Greenwood Park SAPS, the man was approached by two men at around 2pm while the victim was parked outside his driveway on Belmont Road.

The victim was in the process of opening the gate when one of the men produced and knife and demanded he hand over his cell phone.

“The suspect then grabbed the cell phone and both suspects fled the scene on foot,” said Audh.

Audh confirmed that the stolen cell phone was valued at R12 000.
