Making waves at the Wavehouse

Durban Tourism launched the newly completed Wavehouse at Gateway earlier today.

FUN in the sun was the order of the day as Gateway Theatre of Shopping launched the new Go Wild outdoor playground at the WaveHouse last week.

The site now features uniquely crafted fun zones for different ages from toddlers, tweens, teenagers and adults.

“Previously, the WaveHouse only catered to a niche market, such as extreme sporting. Now, the various play zone activities provide fun outdoor activities for the whole family,” said Fo Wild co-founder, Nicholas Leitch.

“Consumers want to do new, exciting and entertaining things that bring fun into their lives; they want to feel alive instead of numb behind technology. Exercise and being outdoors has become fun and a novel way to be with friends or spend time with the family,” he added.

Some of the zones include an undercover toddler play zone, a slash pad, a supertube and an outdoor wave, where people can safely learn to surf.
