Woman injured in M4 accident

Driver is suspected to have neck and spinal cord injuries.

A 20-year-old has been injured following a collision between two vehicles on the M4 this afternoon. The accident occurred just before the Lighthouse Road turnoff going north just after the M41 split.

It is unclear at this stage what caused the accident confirmed Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen.

“The female driver was left with moderate injuries and has been transported to a local hospital for further care. It is suspected she suffered neck and spinal cord injuries. Traffic is severely affected on the M4 going north,” he said.
