WIN: Women’s festival tickets

Fill in the form below to win tickets to The Playhouse SA Women's Festival.

FROM 14 to 22 August at The Playhouse, the struggles, sacrifices and successes of women will be celebrated through fine drama, dance, dialogue, music and entertainment on offer at the annual Playhouse Company’s SA Women’s Festival.

This year’s festival takes on added significance as 2015 has been named the African Union’s year of women empowerment. Already in full swing, the Northglen News is giving away two tickets to the show, ‘If the World was Listening’. Coming fresh from the Grahamstown Festival, this periodic-styled piece, a Playhouse Dance Residency award-winning piece, is a high-intensity, questioning, and thoughtful dance work.

Performed with prowess, a series of vignettes ask: “What would you say if the world was listening?” Each vignette grew out of the cast’s personal stories shared during the creative process. The Festival hotline number is 031 369 9407/596. All bookings are through Computicket or through The Playhouse box office on 031 369 9540/96. Special discounted parking is available for all Playhouse patrons in the Albany Royal Hotel parking.

WIN: ‘If the World was Listening’ will be staged on Thursday, 21 and Friday, 22 August at 10am in the Drama Theatre. To enter, visit: www.northglennews.co.za.
